A little about me

Hi, I’m Stephen, a New Jersey–based sports photographer. When I’m at an event, I’m paying attention to more than just the play itself. I’m watching how the crowd reacts, how the energy builds before a big moment, what’s happening on the sidelines, and how the atmosphere changes as the game unfolds.

I photograph sports and events as they’re experienced, not just as they’re played. The action matters, but so does everything around it, the crowd, the energy, the reactions, and the moments that give context to what’s happening on the field or court.

I try to shoot photos that feel true to the event, using the moments on and around the action to help tell the story of what it was like to be there.

Why I do this

I’m drawn to the story that exists around the action, the crowd, the noise, the movement, and the moments that shape how a game feels. Photography gives me a way to bring those pieces together and tell the larger story of the event as it was experienced.

How I work

I prepare for the flow of each sport so I can anticipate key moments, while staying aware of what’s happening beyond the play. I deliver clean, organized galleries through a consistent workflow, whether I’m covering a single event or following a team over time.

What You Can Expect

When you work with me or browse my galleries, you’ll find photos that are organized, easy to navigate, and delivered with care. I focus on creating a complete visual record of an event, not just highlights. Every game has a story. My goal is to help tell it honestly.
